Agape, unconditional love
Pure love, without limits. Unconditional love, in which the person who loves, has as his or her sole objective the good of the loved one, regardless of the price or sacrifice that this love costs. Agape love is that which exclusively pursues the well-being of the other, putting it before one’s own, without expecting anything in return,
Living, a spiritual experience.
God activates life in a lifeless being, because He is life itself. This act of God is fundamental, because it was at that moment that the clay became a living being, capable of relating to its Creator. Human life is led by the noblest part of oneself, which is the spirit. Jesus came so that we may have life, and abundant life.
Existing, a material experience.
To satisfy the demands of the body, the primary demands, without concern for anything higher. This results in an ephemeral, materialistic and superficial existence. It would be a very earthly existence, which cannot elevate itself, and has no purpose other than just existing. Existence is only material and intellectual.
David’s army, specialists in throwing stones.
The formation of the army of David, the anointed of God, is very peculiar. David is pursued to death by the disobedient and carnal King Saul, and he does not live a good time in his life, he lives in the midst of danger, loneliness and sadness, and so an army was formed. They were tired and afflicted people,.
The census, confidence or arrogance.
We wonder why Satan is interested in a census, what he wants to achieve with it. The enemy of God wants to lead David to trust in his own strength and not in the power of God. He knows the weaknesses of men, and he attacks them exactly where they are not strong.
Memory of Eden, experience and descendants.
Adam lived 930 years, and could not forget the wonderful life he knew in Eden, and the experience of walking with God. That memory and nostalgia remains with him throughout his life, and he transmits to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, the memories of Eden.
